Charlevoix’s beaches have nothing to envy of their southern counterparts!

Along the St. Lawrence River, the Municipality of Baie-Sainte-Catherine boasts one of the loveliest sandy beaches*** in Charlevoix ? and the Province of Québec! While the more daring will swim, others might prefer other beach activities such as kayaking, pedal boats, going for a leisurely walk, playing beach ball, horseback riding, etc.

Several hundred metres long, the strand stretches from Pointe-Aux-Alouettes to ruisseau Catherine. With assorted access points, it has a gorgeous view of the village bay, the mouth of the Saguenay Fjord and its fauna, and the majestic St. Lawrence River.

Every 6 hours the beach is redefined by the ebb and flow of the tide, always renewing itself, and making it an ideal place to spend quality time under the starry skies with your sweetheart, or picnicking with family and friends on a bright sunny day. Others will relish Zen-like moments meditating on many a rocky cragg, there for today’s more spiritual traveller.

So do come sink your toes in its warm, soft sand!
